Red Hand Day

Members of Justice Peace and Integrity of Creation Committee of the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, marked messages in red on their hands to express their desire that children be protected from coercion to become child soldiers. On February 12, 2002, the Convention on the Rights of the Child entered into force. February 12 was chosen as Red Hand Day.
